## Homerun Switch (energy comparison)

- What it is: a free tool that compares electricity and gas plans for Australian renters and sharehouses
- Coverage: a panel of 10 Australian retailers (Alinta Energy, ActewAGL, Dodo, ENGIE, Powershop, 1st Energy, OVO Energy, Blue NRG, Arcline by RACV and Origin Energy). Not the whole market
- How long it takes: a few minutes. No bill upload
- Price: free to compare and free to switch (AU$0). The retailer pays Homerun a referral fee if you switch, which does not change your price or the order plans appear in
- Phone calls: Homerun Switch does not ask for your phone number, so there is none to pass to a call centre
- How it works: you answer a few questions about your place, see plans side by side, then pick one and our comparison partner processes the switch
- Comparison partner: CIMET Sales Pty Ltd ABN 72 620 395 726, an accredited comparison and switching platform
- Homerun is not an energy retailer and does not generate or sell energy
- Homerun cannot promise you will save money. Whether a better plan exists depends on your current retailer, your location and how you use energy
- Context: the ACCC has found households on the same energy plan for 3+ years pay around AU$221 a year more than those on a newer plan (media release, 22 December 2025). This is a general market finding, not a promised result
