Terms of Service

1. About this service
Homerun Switch is an energy comparison and switching service operated by Sharehouse Pro Pty Ltd (ABN 22 689 570 750) (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our comparison and switching functionality is powered by CIMET Sales Pty Ltd (“CIMET”), an Australian Comparison and Switching Service accredited under the National Energy Retail Rules. When you proceed with a comparison, your use of CIMET’s comparison and switching service is also governed by CIMET’s own Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Homerun Switch is a comparison tool. We are not an energy retailer and we do not supply electricity or gas. We compare plans from a panel of participating Australian energy retailers. This panel does not include every retailer or every plan available in the market. You can also compare plans at no cost at the Australian Government’s Energy Made Easy website (energymadeeasy.gov.au) or, in Victoria, the Victorian Energy Compare website.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older, an Australian resident, and the account holder (or authorised representative) for the energy service at the property you are comparing. By using Homerun Switch you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. How it works
You submit your address, property details, and estimated energy usage through our form. We pass that information to CIMET, who generates a comparison of plans from our retail panel. Your comparison results are sent to the email address you provide. If you choose to switch to a plan, CIMET manages the switching process with the retailer on your behalf.
4. Accuracy of comparisons
Comparisons are estimates based on the information you provide and the tariff data available at the time of your request. Actual costs may vary due to changes in usage, rates, tariff structures, distributor charges, or government fees. We do not guarantee that the plan we identify will be the cheapest available to you, or that switching will result in savings.
The “~$221/yr more” figure cited on the Homerun Switch page is a general finding from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) relating to households that have remained on the same energy plan for three or more years compared with households on newer plans (see the ACCC media release). It is not a prediction of your individual result.
5. Referral commissions
We may receive a referral commission from an energy retailer if you switch through Homerun Switch. This fee is paid by the retailer and does not affect the plans shown to you or their ordering in your comparison results.
6. Your obligations
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when using this service. Providing false or misleading information, including about life support equipment registered at your property, may result in incorrect comparisons and could affect your eligibility for protections under energy law.
7. Life support
If life support equipment is registered at your property, you have additional protections under the National Energy Retail Rules and relevant state regulations. These include minimum notice periods before disconnection and obligations on retailers and distributors. Ensure any life support registration is disclosed and maintained with your retailer and distributor.
8. Third-party services
By proceeding with a switch, you are entering into a contract with the relevant energy retailer, not with us. We are not a party to that contract. Any disputes about your energy supply, billing, or service should be directed to the retailer or, if unresolved, to your state or territory energy ombudsman.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sharehouse Pro Pty Ltd and CIMET are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Homerun Switch, reliance on a comparison, or a decision to switch energy plans. Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
10. Marketing communications
When completing the comparison form, you may optionally consent to receiving tips and updates from Homerun about saving on household bills and energy. This consent is separate from, and not a condition of, using the Homerun Switch comparison service.
If you opt in, we will send you occasional emails on those topics. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at policy@sharehousepro.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect the delivery of your comparison results.
11. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Homerun Switch uses cookies and similar technologies — including strictly-necessary cookies to run the service securely, plus analytics and advertising tools to understand how it is used and to measure our marketing. By using Homerun Switch you acknowledge this use. The cookies and third-party providers we use, and how you can control them, are set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available via the link in the footer of this page. Continued use of Homerun Switch after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
