Is this like a bill-splitting app?
It does what a splitting app does, and it lives in the same place as your rent, your lease and the house's chores. Homerun's built for Australian sharehouses, so the ledger knows about rooms, housemates who leave mid-quarter, and the fact that a house shares a lot more than bills.
Can we split something unevenly?
Yes. Set custom amounts on anything. The split's saved with the item, so the reason's on record and nobody has to remember the deal.
What about bills that come every month?
Add them as they land. The ledger nets everything into one running balance per housemate, so a monthly internet bill, a quarterly power bill and Tuesday's groceries end up in the same figure.
Does everyone in the house need Homerun?
It works best when everyone's in it, because that's how everyone sees their own share. Housemates join with a code in about a minute. Anyone who'd rather text can ask Homerun on WhatsApp what a bill comes to.
Whose name should the electricity be in?
